Healthcare Programs

All programs offered at TEAMWORK CAREER INSTITUTE (TCI) are residential in nature. In an instructor-led environment.

This program is designed to prepare students to meet the demands necessary for Long Term Care patients or provide care for patients recovering from medical illnesses. Students will receive classroom lecture and laboratory practice, and will ultimately be assigned into a clinical environment to apply acquired skills and knowledge in real life situations. 

The Medication Aide Training Program is a comprehensive course designed for Certified Nurse Aides and people that have worked in assisted living for at least 12 months prior with duties as personal care giver. The program is designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to administer medications for the provision of basic care to residents in long-term care facilities. 

he Clinical Medical Assistant Program is a comprehensive course designed to teach the student the skills and abilities essential to function in a variety of medical facilities and other related professional medical organizations. Clinical Medical Assistants performs a variety of duties depending on the type of ambulatory health care setting in which they are employed. 

The Pharmacy Technician Review course prepares technicians to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination. The national exam is administered three times of the year in March, July and November. This course is a comprehensive guide to study skills, time management, test taking strategies and a complete guide to the PTCB Exam. 

This program will prepare the student for an entry-level position as a patient care technician. Emphasis is on technical skills necessary to perform personal care to complex patients, implementation of selected portions of care plans, including respiratory services, rehabilitation services, EKG and phlebotomy under the supervision of licensed healthcare provider. 

This course is designed for individuals interested in entering the healthcare field as well as looking to acquire additional skills. Graduates of this program may perform duties in the skill laboratory, medical office, clinic or private laboratories.  Specific duties may include performing venipunctures by vacutainer, butterfly and syringe methods, etc.
